If something goes wrong and you need medical care, paramedic practitioners are the first people there to administer emergency treatment. Whether it’s a serious motor accident or a fall at home, it is a paramedic’s job to reassure the distressed patient as much as provide appropriate medical care.
When you’re called out to an emergency, you never know what to expect so you have to be able to immediately assess what care the patient needs and how to administer this. Most of the time, you will be able to treat the patient where they are and work with other emergency teams to relieve their pain as efficiently as possible.
