ODPs, or Operating Department Practioners, are essential to the safe delivery of surgical procedures. They don’t only assist their colleagues during complex procedures, but are also the first person a patient will see immediately before and after their operation. While not trained to the same extent as surgeons, anaesthetists or theatre nurses, they play a crucial part in patient care.
As an ODP you will have a supporting role, helping medical staff and patients in equal measure. Whether assisting on an emergency operation or being available during post-anaesthetic recovery from a minor voluntary surgery, you will be dedicated to providing better conditions before, during and after procedures. At Team24, we share this attention to every aspect of healthcare.
We search. We consult. We care.
Our agency consultants are available at every step of your journey, from first enquiry to ongoing compliance support. We know that healthcare facilities never clock off and are able to offer 24/7 guidance to medical professionals looking for flexible or permanent roles.
Look to the jobs below if helping people as an ODP is your calling, but don’t hesitate to email email@example.com or call 0330 024 1111 if you have any questions.
