Team24 are working with one of the oldest acute independent private healthcare organisations in the UK. We are supporting them to find an Anaesthetics practitioner with a recognised anaesthetic course, RODP, and ongoing professional development. You'll need at least 1 years post graduate experience and the ability to perform the functions of the grade.
You will be responsible providing the highest standard of patient care and provide skilled assistance and support to the anaesthetic Physician, ensure an ongoing welcoming, caring and safe environment is ensure that the safety, privacy and dignity of the patient is maintained. To use Meditech Patient Information System to ensure patient data is entered in an accurate and timely fashion, ensure that all practitioners are aware and comply to departmental and Clinic wide policies and procedures to ensure a safe working practice. To ensure that equipment is maintained, and stock managed to ensure economical use of all resources. To participate on the on-call roster as per rota, to support the anaesthetic service. To liaise and communicate with HSDU, recovery, theatre staff and floor nurses to facilitate a good and smooth patient care. Implement, monitor and evaluate systems of infection control.
Follow procedures for documenting and reporting to relevant manager any untoward incident/accident or complaint and take any appropriate action. Continuously assess and monitor risk in their own and others' practice. Participate in the monitoring and maintenance of standards in accordance with The Clinic policies and procedures and NMC/HPC professional documents. Ensure anaesthetic equipment is checked according to policy and recommended good practice, ensure anaesthetic room is stocked and cleaned after use and CD drugs are checked.
