We are looking to recruit a Theatre Practitioner/ODP to join their theatre team.

You'll be responsible for making sure that the professional & national standards are met in accordance to the Nursing & Midwifery Council, Health Professional Council and HCA'S Code of Conduct. In your role you will be planning, assessing, delivering and evaluating the peri-operative care of patients, you will be supervising and delegating with junior grades, unqualified and less experienced staff. You will work with Multi-Disciplinary Teams and ensure local protocols and standards are followed. You will need to be aware of the effective management of resources within the department, and you will be a part of educating, training and the development of staff. You will be assisting in the organisation and management of the theatre.

You will be expected to participate in the on-call rotas and rostered weekend duties and be will be required to provide surgical, anaesthetic or recovery assistance to the consultants during all surgical procedures whether under local, regional, sedation and general anaesthetic. You will need to remain a personal, professional profile, identifying roles and skill developments. You'll need to maintain legible and accurate records of care in accordance with the Hospitals' local policies and procedures and Comply with the requirements of Health & Safety and principles of COSHH.
