  • Karen Colfer

    Karen Colfer
    Managing Director

    Karen Colfer is a seasoned recruitment professional with more than 20 years’ experience in the operational and strategic management of large-scale, multi-divisional recruitment business. 

    As Managing Director of Capita Healthcare (inc Team24, 4Front Healthcare and Medicare First Nursing), Karen oversees all of the operations, its staffing, recruitment divisions and corporate support functions, as well as leads the growth and expansion of Capita’s Healthcare businesses.

    Karen’s introduction to the industry started at Reed Personnel Services, one of the UK’s largest independent recruitment organisations. In her 10 years at Reed she held various positions from Temporary’s Consultant to Senior Business Manager with geographical responsibility for multiple branches across the City and West End of London.

    In 2000, Karen joined Hudson Global Resources in Sydney, Australia (formerly known as Morgan & Banks/Alectus) as the Profit Centre Manager for the North Sydney and Parramatta divisions. Since that time she held various positions including National Account Manager for one of Australia largest Banks, and subsequently secured the role of National General Manager of the same account which evolved to become Hudson’s largest global account. The success of this account earned Karen the prestigious annual global Chairman’s award for “Sales Person of the Year” in 2003.

    Karen was promoted in 2005 and joined the Executive Leadership Team at Hudson as the Executive General Manager of a new national line of business called Service and Support. She was promoted again and appointed as the Executive General Manager of the Sydney business in 2008. The role encompassed direct and indirect responsibility for all lines of business including executive recruitment, non-executive recruitment, managed services, talent management and the sales function. Sydney represented the largest business of all global regions.

     


    Prior to returning home to the United Kingdom, Karen headed up Kelly’s Australia & New Zealand business. Between 2010 and 2015 Karen completely overhauled the Australia & New Zealand operations, successfully returned the business to profitability in 2014. The business improvement program Karen implemented during this period resulted in a $3.7 million turnaround in just four years.

    Between 2013 and 2015 Karen sat on the board of the Australian and New Zealand RCSA.

    As a passionate recruitment industry leader, Karen is a regular commentator on issues that impact the industry, its people and its future.

  • Lorna Bruce

    Lorna Bruce
    Operations Director

    Lorna has worked in the recruitment industry for some 20 years, with extensive experience of temporary, contract, permanent and managed service recruitment/RPO.  Her experience includes all aspects of operations, service delivery, team management, client management, service improvement, implementations and project management.

    Her unique blend of managerial and operational expertise enables her to drive the operational effectiveness and efficiency of each business she has worked in, with advanced skills in strategic planning, development and resource allocation.

    Lorna has lead teams on complex implementations including the development of and transformation to new service models, implementation of technology, migration programmes and establishing performance excellence.

    Having worked in Capita Specialist Recruitment (inc Team24, 4Front Healthcare and Medicare First Nursing) for a number of years she has the knowledge and network to drive decisions and improvements swiftly.

    Lorna was formerly Chief Operating Officer where she supported with the creation of a new education recruitment business with a focus on Apprenticeships and Skills Based-Learning.

Senior Managers

  • Fiona France

    Fiona France
    Financial Controller

    Fiona is the Finance Manager and a qualified management accountant, with more than 18 years experience managing and improving finance departments within various companies and industries.

    Fiona manages a team of 20; split between Payroll and Client Support.  The Payroll team runs the weekly payroll for all our agency workers and currently processes around 1,800 timesheets and pays around 1,000 candidates.  Client Support works closely in conjunction with the finance departments of clients and Capita’s Credit Control team in an effort to provide an excellent customer experience.

    Fiona joined Team24 in January 2012, and since joining, has implemented many new processes and guided her team through the highly stringent financial reporting processes required to meet Capita’s expectations and public company guidelines. The changes implemented have resulted in a better all round experience for both clients and candidates.

  • Louise Paul

    Louise Paul
    Head of Resourcing

    Louise’s background is healthcare. She began as a recruitment consultant and moved on to look after the training and compliance function at Team24, whilst gaining her Certificate in HR Practice.

    Louise ran a team of 20 staff on our successful Out of Hours team for 4 years, oversaw a compliance team of 12 and a team of 5 recruitment consultants until she moved into the Operations Manager role in January 2013.

    Louise is predominantly interested in compliance and operations management; utilising the skills and knowledge she gained in her HR studies and Registered Managers Award (NVQ 4).

    She has a history of Team Leadership, Branch Management and excelling at achieving targets and has led the company in both Non Framework & NHS Framework audits in recent years, gaining platinum awards in many and achieving high pass rates in all.

    She is committed to continuing to work with the resourcing function; ensuring that patient care and safety remains the number one priority at Team24.

  • Lisa Handley

    Lisa Handley
    BMI Account Director

    With extensive experience of recruitment within financial markets, Lisa is now Account Director for BMI Healthcare at Team24, having most recently worked as a Recruitment Project Manager following roles as an on-site Client Relationship Manager/Resourcing Business Partner with Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and previously in Local Government at Essex County Council.

    She has an extensive and long standing network of clients who value her high touch, consultative and quality approach, whilst maximising and enhancing relationships with key stakeholders across all aspects of recruitment, payroll and HR administration.

  • Callum Carscadden

    Callum Carscadden
    Client Solutions Manager

    Callum has been working in recruitment since 1996. His career started in the Industrial Sector, moving to Commercial and finally, in 2010, the Healthcare Sector.

    He joined Team24 in June 2012 as Sales Support Manager where his responsibilities included providing support to the sales teams; making certain that they meet the ever changing needs of our clients, and ensuring the consultants have the tools they require to meet those needs. In addition to this, he supported Team24 in the preparation of Tenders and business reporting.

    Due to Callum’s broad range of skills, his role has grown to support the other areas of Team24. As a result he has moved into the Operations Team as Operations Analyst, assisting with the growth of the business by supporting our various sales channels.

    James Cooke
    Regional Manager - Primary Care Team

    James is the Regional Manager for the Primary Care Team, previously being the Team Leader for the Kent and Sussex area. He is the longest serving employee at Team24, having been one of the founder members of the company back in 2005.

    He has worked hard and helped to start up many divisions within Team24; beginning with GP Locums, Mental Health & Hospital Doctors, but has now settled over the last few years within the Nursing Division, which is growing stronger every day.

    He recently completed his 3rd London Marathon, and is looking for his next personal challenge to push him even further.

  • Kate Shrivell

    Kate Shrivell
    Out of Hours Team Leader

    Kate joined Team 24 in July 2014 as an Out of Hours Consultant. In October 2016 she was promoted to Team Leader. With over 10 Years leadership experience in customer service and training, she now manages a team of 24 OOH Consultants.

    The team oversees all areas of the business, from the early hours of the morning and late into the evenings. They operate the weekend business, are primarily the booking team for all clients and act as a 24 service to our nurses and clients.

  • Lee Jones

    Lee Jones
    Regional Manager - Primary Care Team (North/Midlands)

    Having joined the company in Dec 2008, Lee worked as a Consultant for the first three years within the GP Locum Division before progressing to Team Leader. In 2013 he moved into his current role as Team Leader for the Midlands Area in the Temporary Nursing Division.

    Hannah Williams
    Registrations Manager

    Hannah has worked across the finance and resourcing areas of the company. She brings dynamic organisational skills and is a great people manager. Working with the compliance and registration teams, she joins up processes and links into the sales teams providing a seamless journey for candidates.
