- Team24's fast growth continues with national recognition -

Family-run healthcare recruitment firm Team24, based in Banstead, Surrey, has for the second successive year been listed in the top 20 of Britain's fastest growing businesses.

The Virgin Fast Track 100 league table, published exclusively in the Sunday Times this week, positioned Team24 as the 15th fastest growing private company in the UK. Last year, the company were placed 16th.

Officially known as the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100, the list is a snapshot of the fast movers as they adapt to the ever changing conditions in the marketplace. The league table ranks firms by sales growth over their latest three financial years. Team24 has only been in existence for five, having spawned as a business idea from entrepreneur Robert Stiff and his wife Catherine in 2005.

Stiff, who is the founder and managing director of Team24 said:

"I am delighted that we have come in as the 15th fastest growing private company in the UK. It is one better than last year, and is in fact a superior result than 2009 as the list is based on compounded growth.

"So for us to have achieved two top 20 placements in consecutive years is tremendous. We have achieved outstanding levels of sales, profit and market share improvement during these 12 months and that is a testament to the entire workforce at team24."

Stiff will rub shoulders with Sir Richard Branson at his Oxfordshire home in May, when the Virgin boss holds the annual awards event. Sir Richard bestowed praise upon Team24 and its counterparts by commenting:

"Against the current economic background the strong performance of the Fast Track 100 companies is to be especially applauded."

Fast Track has published league tables of private companies with the Sunday Times for the past 14 years, with Virgin as its recurrent sponsor.
