SUMMARY

This is an overview of what the inspector found during the inspection.

This was the first, key inspection after initial registration and was conducted on 7^th September 2006 at the agency’s headquarters in Airport House, South Croydon. The overall judgement for this service is “good” and this reflects the positive outcome of each of the five sections in this report. At present this Agency does not directly employ Nurses to work in service user’s private homes and is therefore not an “employment agency” for the purposes of some sections of the National Minimum Standards and Nurses Agency Regulations. However, all standards were at least briefly assessed during this first inspection since registration.

What the service does well:

Feedback from a number of agencies using Team24 indicates their complete satisfaction with the service provided and described the Nurses Agency as “excellent” and “meeting all demands made of it in a very professional way”. This first inspection indicates that Team24 is a well organised and professionally run service. Policies and procedures are in place and record keeping is proficient. The recruitment of staff is thorough and detailed, including all the checks required to safeguard service users such as police, nursing and reference checks.
