RMN required for a home in Ceredigion, providing specialised nursing care to individuals who have elderly mentally ill care needs.

You will need to have full knowledge of and follow the NMC Professional Code of Conduct. You will maintain and develop professional and clinical skills and keep abreast of clinical developments in the area of elderly care.

The successful candidate will have a thorough working knowledge of the Mental Health Act (1983) and a critical awareness of the implications of the act in relation to the rights of the individual. They will also be fully aware of the Care Standards Act 2000 and its implications for the conduct of a nursing home.

You will be required to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the national minimum standards as well as have knowledge of and understand the Mental Capacity Act 2005

Part of your role is to participate in orientation/induction programme for all new staff and undertake in-service training sessions and study days in order to develop professional knowledge and skills.
