My client is recognised nationally as being a service leader in the provision of low secure women’s services.
The service opened in June 2006, and has established itself quickly as a market leader, holding true to service values and its ‘care without compromise ’principles. The service focusing in the quality of care and treatment delivered to patients through investment in high skilled clinical teams.
Patient inclusion and involvement is a high priority within the service which provides care for women with complex needs who require assessment, treatment and rehabilitation within the safety and security of a low secure environment. The building is superbly designed to maximise the space for our patients and to provide fully equipped facilities for therapeutic programmes programmes
Job Outline:
You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual patient care plans, participating in a range of assessments working within set standards to achieve quality outcomes in line with the clients philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:
o Work collaboratively as a Primary/Named Nurse/Key worker within the multidisciplinary team, including liaising with associated professionals and other agencies
o Ensure that client centered care plans are developed, implemented, evaluated and recorded
o Ensure that risk management and risk assessment are an integral part of care planning
o Ensure effective communication with service users, relatives, visitors and staff. Facilitate ward/unit activities
o Ensure risk management issues are assessed, identified and care planned for, with any issues of concern communicated within the multidisciplinary team
o Ensure effective communication with patients, carers, visitors and staff.
o Make effective use of evidence based practice in day to day clinical practice
o Implement and ensure effective use of the Mental Health Act where necessary.
o Ensure safe standards apply to the administration of medication
o Ensure adherence to the units policies and procedures at all times. Assist with the development and/or revision of policies and procedures as necessary
o Supervise and monitor the use of supplies and equipment ensuring supplies are adequate and used appropriately. Assist in the maintenance of financial records as necessary
o To be an effective role model to all staff within the working environment. Participate in teaching programmes with all staff including students. Have an awareness of own development and training needs. Maintain a learning environment. Assist in the induction of new staff
o Participate in clinical supervision with personal supervisor. Supervision of other staff. e.g. unqualified nurses and nursing students. Undertake any additional duties deemed appropriate to grade
o Implementing observation procedures and other security polices in the Hospital
o Administration of drugs
