The main purpose of the Clinical Lead role is to provide excellence in care, as determined by the client, within the company philosophy of minimal intervention. To ensure the smooth running of the centre on a day to day basis by overseeing all clinical areas and supervision of the nursing team, co-ordination of Doctors/surgeons/anaesthetists, being the main point of call for clinical matters and by being a part of the supervisory team.

The primary responsibility of this role is to further the goal of: THE PREVENTION OF UNWANTED BIRTHS and its mission of ensuring the individuals right to: CHILDREN BY CHOICE NOT CHANCE

Main Duties:
• oversee and monitor day unit and clinic activity
• quality standards and QMS procedures and policies, complaints, client flow audits
• take an active role in the provision of services to clients
• support of client during procedure
• Meet KPI targets, Satisfaction reports, complaints
• provision of post operative advice
• monitor standards of client and clinical advice
• QMS procedures and policies, quality standards, competencies, KPI
• correct or improve service provision where appropriate
• Complication Reports, ERPC reports, error reports, complaints, satisfaction reports, audits
• CRS audits, client flow audits, error reports, meet demands
• participate in the handling of complaints both face to face and over the phone - facilitate statements etc
• timely and effective handling of complaints to prevent escalation satisfaction report, KPI,
• • develop cultural change, positive/flexible attitudes, high morale
• awareness of all targets/KPIs, closely monitoring progress and working with the team to achieve results
• achieve KPI targets,
• identify team needs, organise rotas to meet service demands and cover for nursing team when necessary
• development of team, skill mix, organisation/planning, cost control of FTE, minimise overtime payments
• assist in recruitment, selection and induction of new team members
• reduction of turnover
• carry out team member appraisals, competencies and follow up on outcomes
• achieve targets, compliance of standards
• motivate, train and coach team members and provide feedback on performance to individuals
• participate in and organise training and development for nursing and medical team members
• regularly brief teams and ensure understanding of local and corporate issues, using either one to one or group meetings
• implement policy and procedural changes in line with Quality Management System
• total compliance to QMS and procedures and systems

Qualifications:
• RGN
• Up to date understanding of gynaecology, theatre and an understanding of Sexual Reproductive Health

Experience:
• gynaecology/midwifery/theatre
• family planning/sexual reproductive health
• supervising/team leading
• working without direct supervision
