Children's Palliative Care Nurse - Community
In this hugely rewarding role, you’ll work with children who have palliative care needs in their own homes, providing vital support to their families during times of crisis. You’ll assess referrals, respond promptly to families’ needs, and provide exceptionally flexible direct care. As part of a small but dynamic team, you’ll enable children to stay in a familiar environment, and will have the challenge of continuing to develop this new service.
As an experienced RN Child or RSCN at band 6 or above, you’ll have experience of delivering palliative and end of life care (whether to adults or children). You must also be a good problem solver who is comfortable working on your own initiative, understands child protection, and has a successful track record of working in a multi-professional team. You will also have the support to study within this field. We offer an on site nursery (subject to availability) and free car parking.
Support for study in palliative care is available but if you already have a relevant
qualification then an increased salary will be considered.
