“West Mid’s” progressive and forward thinking A&E department has vacancies for band 7 Sister/ Charge Nurse. The department sees approximately 92,000 patients a year. We have a diverse population that we provide a service to, as well as a significant number of tertiary services. The department has a paediatric area and an 8- bedded observation ward, along with a 3-bedded resuscitation area, 10 majors cubicles and a minor injuries area.
This position would place the successful applicant at the forefront of emergency care. Working as a member of a motivated team each day brings new challenges and experiences. You will be co-ordinating the A&E department, working alongside the Modern Matron and other senior staff to ensure a high standard of clinical care is delivered, and that our team of enthusiastic and skilled nursing staff receive appropriate education and professional development. You will need:
•Sufficient A&E experience to be able to demonstrate a strong clinical
skill base and the leadership qualities necessary for this senior role,
•Post registration qualification in A&E nursing
•Degree level education (or a commitment to work towards)
•A recognised teaching certificate
•To be a good communicator,
•To provide a high standard of clinical skills, and
•To be keen to help drive and influence innovative practice within A&E
services.
