Banstead UK, November 11, 2009: Healthcare recruitment specialists, Team24 has been shortlisted in the
prestigious Technology & Innovation Category of the CBI's Growing Business Awards. The Surrey based company is up against four
other organisations for the coveted award, which is now recognised as the Oscars of the business world.
Now in its sixth year, the Growing Business Awards have been designed to recognise innovation and
entrepreneurial spirit and this is very much at the backbone of Team24, which was founded in 2005. The company places doctors
and nurses in temporary placements within GP surgeries, NHS Trusts and private hospitals and in the space of four years they
are now securing hundreds of posts for doctors and nurses every week.
A key focus for Team24 in 2009 has been to expand into nurse recruitment and in order to do this
successfully a new web-based application system was developed. This significantly speeded up the process and reduced the
application turn around time by more than half. Staff have, as a result been placed in jobs much faster and repeat business
has grown substantially since its introduction in January this year.
Commenting on the announcement, Team24 founder and managing director, Robert Stiff said: "It is an amazing
achievement to be shortlisted and we are keeping our fingers crossed for the final result on 26 November". This is a hugely
respected awards ceremony and we are up against some tough competition, so to have got this far is already a huge
milestone.
"The judging panel includes various respected business leaders and hopefully we can impress them with our
technology developments and the success this has generated not only for us as a business, but also our clients and
candidates."
