This position is within the Greater Manchester NHS Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service Project run by Care UK on behalf of the NHS.
Care UK is one of the leading independent providers in the NHS primary care sector. We’re constantly looking for ways to improve our services and are about to set up a Clinical Assessment, Treatment and Support (CATS) scheme in the Manchester area. It’s a project that will have a major impact on primary care, focussing on the development of specialised services in mobile clinics to reduce waiting times across an entire region.
To provide Specialist Speech and Language Therapy assessment diagnosis and treatment to adults with communication and/or swallowing difficulties following acquired neurological and voice disorders.
Requirements:
• Demonstration of specialist knowledge in clinical specialism, underpinned by current evidence-based practice.
• Qualification in management of swallowing disorders.
• Accredited post graduate experience in management of communication/ swallowing disorders relating to specialist area.
• Knowledge of a broad range of specialist formal and informal assessment methods and their interpretation
• Recognised Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists degree level qualification.
• Health Professions Council (HPC) Licence to Practice
